Waukesha, WI — The Waukesha County NAACP proudly announces the Waukesha County MLK Day Celebration, including a posthumous tribute to Waukesha NAACP past President Lillie Belle Wilson, to be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM CT at the Anthony J. Natalizio (AJN) Center at WCTC. This community-wide event is free and open to the public.


This year’s celebration honors the extraordinary life and legacy of Mrs. Lillie Bell Wilson, a beloved community leader whose decades of service exemplified the values of dignity, justice, and unwavering faith. The event also continues Waukesha County’s longstanding tradition of uplifting and honoring the life and mission of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Guests will also participate in the 2026 “Beloved Community Charge”, calling all residents to commit to acts of service and justice in the new year.


Light refreshments will be provided following the program.
